Storage/abandonment (dealer transfers):
- For dealer transfers left in their custody 14 days or longer after receiving the firearm from a third party, the customer pays $3/day storage.
- Firearms left 90 days or longer are treated as abandoned property, and the customer’s rights are forfeit.

  - $25 for additional guns that can be processed on the same 4473/DROS
  - If additional guns require separate DROS transactions, it’s $80 per gun
- Customers are responsible for knowing all paperwork requirements and for shipping costs, DROS fees, and applicable sales/use tax.
- They also state a $80 return fee may apply if they receive a firearm and have to send it back to the original sender (for example, if a handgun isn’t on the CA DOJ roster).
